The Tent of Avraham is an anthology of essays on a variety of Jewish topics of academic, personal, and spiritual nature. Contributors include Jewish thinkers, professors, and rabbis, all of whom have taught at or are affiliated with the David Cardozo Academy in Jerusalem. Original insights into the Jewish tradition, many of the articles include a more personal and emotional struggle with elements of Judaism, capturing the essence of the David Cardozo Academy.

    About the David Cardozo Academy

Founded in 2000, the David Cardozo Academy seeks to revitalize the Jewish tradition and restore the relevance of Judaism as a force of authentic, non-dogmatic observance in which Jews find pride in the Torah and its great moral and spiritual teaching. With a keen eye on the latest developments in intellectual discourse and general culture, the Academy empowers rabbis, educators, and community leaders to communicate and develop the Jewish tradition in the language of the new millennium.

The Academy offers fresh analysis on the ideology behind Jewish law and faith in the form of books, articles, audio and video media, and weekly e-mail essays, as well as classes and lectures throughout the State of Israel, Europe, South Africa, and North America. The Academy's core programs in Israel include: the Cardozo-Kagan Jewish Leadership Program; a Think Tank forum of Jewish thinkers, educators, and leaders; the Jerusalem Lecture Series addressing topics rarely discussed publicly in observant Jewish circles.
