With
its verse-by-verse analysis of Creation, Six Days of Cosmology and Evolution
presents a detailed commentary on the first chapter of Genesis through
scientific and rabbinic lenses. Focusing on topics such as the nature of time
and the biblical use of homonyms, Daniel Langer demonstrates that, when
properly understood, the Genesis account does not conflict with modern
cosmology, geology, or evolution.

Praise for Six Days of Cosmology:
“Many religious communities feel threatened by science’s view of Creation. Daniel Langer combines his lifetime experience of teaching science with his commitment to rigorous Torah study in this important volume. Containing clear discussions of scientific concepts, a comprehensive overview of traditional Jewish views, and a discussion of their interplay, this book contributes a great deal towards identifying compatibilities between traditional religious belief and contemporary theories of cosmology.”
